Direct Service from Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Returns to Cape Cod Gateway Airport for Summer 2026

HYANNIS, Mass. – Cape Cod Gateway Airport (HYA) announces that direct flights to and from Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. will return for the summer and booking is currently available.

Recognizing Cape Cod as a popular vacation destination, for a second summer season, American Airlines will offer the only nonstop flights to Hyannis from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport (DCA), Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). 

Starting June 18, American’s summer service will offer daily flights to and from Philadelphia and New York Laguardia, and American’s service from Washington D.C. will include up to 10 flights per week, with tentatively two daily flights on weekends, Friday-Sunday. Direct flights to and from Chicago O’Hare are available every Saturday. 

HYA also welcomes back JetBlue with one daily, direct flight between Hyannis and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) starting June 25. 

All flights for summer service will run through at least Labor Day and are now available for booking via American’s website aa.com or mobile app, JetBlue ticket purchases can be made at jetblue.com or mobile app.

Cape Air continues to provide daily flights from Hyannis to Boston’s Logan International Airport, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, and Gull Air also offers flights from Hyannis to Nantucket on a daily basis as well as charter services throughout the Northeast, adding even more travel convenience for vacationers and locals alike on the Cape. 

While already a popular tourism destination, with events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Sail Boston, and the country’s numerous 250th celebrations, Cape Cod is well positioned to be one of the most popular destinations in the Northeast this summer.
